It’s holiday time at the moment, with Easter just around the corner, I have a week off, which is great, as it gives me time to unwind and to enjoy the city. I have a friend visiting from South Africa at the moment, and we took a moment to wander all over Barcelona, and explore. We drove up to Montjuic, one of my favourite places in Barcelona. It offers great views over the city and port, and we were there to witness the unusual fog rolling into the city.
Fog is somewhat rare here, and in typical Spring weather fashion, the very warm summer days that we have been enjoying turned into thunder and lightning and Rain! If I tried, it would be very easy to pretend that I was in Johannesburg.
The city lit up as evening descended and we enjoyed a drink as the bats came out. The fog gave everything a mysterious tinge and I was happy to be there to see it, breathing salty Med air and watching seagulls drift across the city.
