Living in Barcelona

Shopping up a Storm :: Barcleona

Barcelona holds many wonderful areas to get lost in. Peer into windows on a hidden alley shop and who knows what wonders you will see. My neighbourhood Gracia boasts a few gems, and there is nothing I enjoy more than a sun filled afternoon of window shopping. La-a on Torrent De L’olla is one of my favourites. Filled to the brim with succulents, vases, glass globules and interesting home decor items. The shop is run by some friendly french girls, although their website does not work, so I am unable to find out more info on the place, it is well worth a stop if you are looking for something unusual to buy for your home or friend.

This little button boutique on Calle Verdi, also in Gracia, is quite curious, stuffed with all things buttony, it’s a feast for the eyes. I really need to take some inspiration and craft myself some button things, with all my buttons at home. I just love their button lamp shade, and you can buy all sorts of button jewellery inside.

Stepping out of Gracia and into the Gotic, Milos and I came across the shop gallery of Gaston Liberto. His gallery immediately caught our eye, and we couldn’t help but buy one of his limited edition prints for the music studio. Stop by to admire his paintings and drawings, as well as his clever playing blocks.

You can find his wonderful gallery at calle Semolers number 4.
