An illustrated view:: Paris

The route along the Seine in Paris is framed, in November, by yellow leaves and blue skys, it’s banks invite you to browse it’s books and tourist prints, and the waters of the river ripple past and reflect all the autumn colours like quick silver and gold glitter. Quite a sight to behold on a crisp morning. I enjoyed the combination of visual treats. And though I’m positive the myriad postcards, illustrated books and prints are an eyesore to the local Parisian, I preferred them to the kitschy offerings of Eiffel tower magnets and keyrings that are stuffed into tiny shops near the Notre Dame and San Michel.
